South African Association of The South African Association of Community Pharmacists (SAACP) is a sector body of the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa (PSSA). We are mandated to promote the interests of Community Pharmacists who are members of the PSSA and focus on building a united profession to better fulfil our professional role in the community pharmacy practice space. We dedicate ourselves to the principles treasured in our Constitution and, in particular, to guide and support our members to ensure sustainable, high quality pharmaceutical service in the interest of all who depend on our knowledge and services.

In summary, the Association promotes the professional, educational, business and economic interests of its members, with specific emphasis on pharmacists active in the category community pharmacy as defined in the Pharmacy Act, Act 53/1974, as amended.
The South African Association of Community Pharmacists (SAACP) advocates for Community Pharmacists and support its members to advance the profession and enhance patient outcomes.
The South African Association of Community Pharmacists (SAACP) supports and promotes the role of Community Pharmacists in taking their rightful place as integral members of the Health Team; in serving our people and our communities; in drawing strength from our diversity in a unique and indispensable profession; and in building a united profession to better fulfil our professional role as the health professional whose practice optimises medication use and enhances patient outcomes.

Strengthening The South African Association of Community Pharmacists (SAACP) as the number one information provider for the practicing Community Pharmacist.
Payment for services:
Promoting appropriate methods and standards for the payment of pharmacists’ professional services.
Membership:
Promoting the value and relevancy of membership of The South African Association of Community Pharmacists (SAACP).
Organisational capacity:
Ensuring the organisational effectiveness and financial sustainability of The South African Association of Community Pharmacists (SAACP).
